For the third album by the band Tijuana Road, I was tasked with creating the cover for the disc. They told me, «We love what you do; we trust you.» When I have full freedom to create a design, I get very excited. There are so many possibilities! I love searching for inspiration, seeing the trends and discovering gems in the history of artwork and design.
This project is inspired by vintage magazines’ advertising and collage. I found it fun and a bit daring. They loved it and they also named their disc, inspired by my design, «Pineapple Blues Vol.1». I designed not only the cover but also the entire disc packaging.
