Metro de Madrid. 100 años

This logotype was created as a proposal for the centenary of the Madrid tube. The creative process involved a graphic and aesthetic immersion in the design of the early 20th century.

Art Deco influenced the design of buildings, furniture, jewelry, fashion, cars, and everyday objects. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress.
It was characterized by simple, clean shapes, geometric forms, and expensive materials. Its characteristic features reflected admiration for the modernity of the machine and for the inherent design qualities of machine-made objects.

This proposal was inspired by that Art Deco glamour, with an industrial hue, inherited from the first vanguards, like Art Nouveau, Futurism, and the Bauhaus school.
